In August 2023, I received a call that changed everything. My mother had been rushed to the hospital after suffering a stroke. Without a moment's hesitation, I left work and embarked on an 8-hour overnight journey to be by her side. Little did I know, this journey would not only redefine my priorities but also inspire the birth of something truly meaningful – Unapologetic Care.

As I arrived at the hospital, I was confronted with the harsh reality of my mother's condition. Paralyzed on one side, she faced weeks of hospitalization followed by intensive rehabilitation. Determined to support her every step of the way, I immersed myself in her care, attending therapy sessions, learning about her recovery process, and advocating for her needs.

However, life had its own plans in store. The absence from work to care for my mother put my job at risk, and without the protection of FMLA, I found myself unemployed. Despite the challenges, my focus remained unwavering – ensuring my mother received the care she deserved.

Transitioning my mother back home came with its own set of challenges – from mounting hospital bills to the need for round-the-clock care. It was during this time that I realized the glaring lack of resources and support for seniors, especially those in need of constant care, like my 80-year-old mother.

Driven by a desire to make a difference, I embarked on a mission to fill this void. Armed with firsthand experience and a determination to empower caregivers, I founded Unapologetic Care. At its core, it's not just a business but a movement – a platform dedicated to providing resources, support, and empowerment to caregivers and their loved ones.

One of the tools born out of this mission is the Vital Recording Book – a simple yet invaluable tool that I developed to track my mother's vital signs and tailor her care accordingly. Sharing this resource with others facing similar challenges, I realized the profound impact it could have on countless families navigating the complexities of caregiving.

With the launch of our business Facebook page and website, Unapologetic Care aims to be more than just a product provider. It's a community where caregivers can find solace, guidance, and inspiration. From vital recording books to planners and beyond, every product is designed with one goal in mind – to simplify caregiving and promote the well-being of both caregivers and their loved ones.

As I reflect on this journey, I am reminded that I am not alone. Countless others share similar experiences, and through Unapologetic Care, we stand united in our commitment to provide compassionate, unyielding care – because caregiving isn't just a duty; it's a labor of love, deserving of recognition and support.
